1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how SaveTheSpot collects, uses, and shares information when you create an account, browse a provider’s booking page, or make a booking.

2. Information we collect

From providers: the email and password you use to sign up, your display name, slug, services, pricing, availability, profile photo, payout details collected by Stripe Connect, and the cancellation policy you publish.

From clients: the name, email, phone (optional), and any answers to the booking form fields a provider has configured. We also receive the payment details you enter into Stripe Checkout — Stripe handles those directly; we do not see or store full card numbers.

Automatically: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

3. How we use it

We use the information you give us to operate the platform: deliver bookings to the right provider, process payments and refunds, send transactional emails (confirmations, reminders, password resets), and protect the platform against fraud and abuse.

4. Who we share it with

Stripe processes payments and payouts. Resend delivers transactional emails. Supabase hosts our database and authentication. Vercel hosts the web application. Each of these subprocessors only receives the data necessary for its function.

When you book with a provider, your booking details (name, email, phone, form answers) are visible to that provider so they can deliver the service.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Booking records are retained for as long as required for accounting and tax compliance (typically 7 years), then deleted. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at support@savethespot.io.

7. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to function: a session cookie for authentication, a locale cookie to remember your language choice, and short-lived cookies set by Stripe during checkout. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies that track you across other sites.

8. International transfers

Our subprocessors may process data in the United States and the European Union. By using SaveTheSpot, you agree to your data being transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions.

9. Changes

We will notify account holders of material changes by email before they take effect.
