Terms of Service

1. Who we are

SaveTheSpot (“we”, “us”) is a booking platform that lets independent service providers share a booking page and collect payment from their clients. By creating an account or making a booking through SaveTheSpot, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Two kinds of users

Providers are the professionals who list services on SaveTheSpot and deliver those services to their clients. Clients are the people who book and pay for those services. SaveTheSpot is the platform that connects the two and processes payments — we are not the provider of the underlying service.

3. Payments and escrow

Payments are processed by Stripe. When a client books and pays, the funds are held by SaveTheSpot on the platform Stripe account until the appointment’s start time. At that point the provider’s share is transferred to their connected Stripe account, minus the platform fee disclosed at booking time.

The platform fee is a percentage of the booking subtotal and is shown at the time of booking. Providers receive their share via Stripe Connect Express; payout timing depends on Stripe’s standard schedule for the provider’s country.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Each provider sets their own cancellation policy, including any free-cancellation window and the cancellation fee that applies outside of it. The policy applicable to your booking is shown on the booking page before payment and on your booking confirmation.

Cancellations made through SaveTheSpot are processed automatically: refunds are issued to the original payment method, less any applicable cancellation fee. Cancellations made after the appointment’s start time must be handled by the provider directly.

If a provider cancels a confirmed booking, the client is refunded in full automatically.

5. Disputes and chargebacks

Clients should first contact their provider, then SaveTheSpot support, before opening a payment dispute. We will work in good faith to resolve issues. If you open a chargeback, the disputed booking will be frozen pending resolution by Stripe.

6. Provider obligations

Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their service listings, for honoring confirmed bookings, for collecting any taxes their jurisdiction requires, and for complying with all laws applicable to the services they offer. SaveTheSpot does not warrant or insure the underlying service.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use SaveTheSpot to sell unlawful services, to harass other users, to circumvent the platform fee, or to attempt to access another user’s account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

SaveTheSpot is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to your use of the platform is limited to the fees we collected from you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders via the email on file before they take effect.
